OUR PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION
The Church Musicians' Training Program (CMTP) is a three-year training program designed to equip church musicians for effective ministry. The program consists of six intensive one- or two-week training sessions held at Bishop Birech Bible College in Kitale, Kenya, and Vision Bible College in Soroti City West, Uganda. These sessions are typically conducted twice a year, providing students with hands-on instruction and personal mentorship from experienced faculty. Between training sessions, advanced students lead monthly workshops to encourage continuous learning and musical growth.

PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

Rather than try to replicate the music and worship in churches from other parts of the world, the faculty encourage local contextualization for effective discipling of growing church musicians. By emphasizing locals arts and music students are given the tools to create worship and music resources in their own community's voice, for the purpose of authentic evangelism and discipleship.
